An amazing day of worship today. A growing stack nearing the 1200 boxes goal from the churches and community around us. All these boxes soon will head out for Operation Christmas Child. Today the Woman's quilting ministry, who already provided 50+ quilts into the Minden and surrounding areas after the tornados this Spring, have continued to make beautiful quilts to share with those in need. They will be heading out around the Council Bluffs and surrounding areas this week. They made the worship space all the more beautiful as we worshiped today.

Although disappointed in the election outcome I will continue to follow my Christian values and support and pray for the leaders of my country, state and local government! I will not riot or protest but encourage our leaders, neighbors and friends to follow the teachings of Matthew 25: 31-40! 🙏

I wish I could’ve made it over there, but I’m seriously sick. I just live across the street but I don’t want to get anybody else sick. 
Beginning the trip home to Avoca. Leaving my family in Tanzania to come to my family I serve daily at Trinity. It has and will continue to be a blessing as we now work to create a way for many others join into this ministry partneship begun in 2006. Arriving tomorrow in Omaha about 10 pm and right back into services for our elderly on Friday. Our farwell dinner and trip together to the Airport.

It has been a great week of learning and hearing visions from the three congregations that have grown through our partnership; Msaranga Mandaka Center, Kahnani Lombeta, and Betheli Musifini. We have been able to meet with Bishop and Mkuu wa Jimbo offices. Much to share and many things to teach us as well. Tomorrow I am preaching 3 services in 2 parishes.
I am looking forward to coming home, adjusting to time change and jet lag, and visioning future together.

“Friday Night be the Lights” ✨ 2024.
Always good to see some familiar faces come back and new ones joining us! Thank you God for sending the people to help us plant the seeds and encourage faith to grow. 🌱 His waymaking never ceases to amaze! Many answered when asked and many were offering before: Luke Fergeson, our speaker, Knights of Columbus, frying our food, Trinity Lutheran Worship band, music, Youth Group, planning and inviting, and the many parents and volunteers who provided donations and help! All greatly appreciated-Thank you again!
